Sentinel SE McKenzie recovering
Van McKenzie, one of the founding fathers of APSE, is doing well in his recovery after having a cancerous tumor removed from his colon. McKenzie began chemotherapy and radiation late last year and had surgery in March.
McKenzie plans to return to work at the Orlando Sentinel in late May, when he will undergo three more months of chemotherapy. At the conclusion of that treatment, he will have liver surgery to remove the remaining cancer from his body.
True to the McKenzie spirit, he has been e-mailing the staff with "suggestions" and critiques of the daily paper while recovering at home. He welcomes calls but priority will be given those who can offer trades and improve his Fantasy Football team.
