Best daily section – over 250,000
Story posted on April 7, 2007
As a section that serves both a local audience and a national one, our every day goal is to try to give our readers something unexpected on our cover – an enterprise story, a great read, a special graphic or display.
When it comes to big events, like the Olympics or the NCAA basketball tournament, we try to bring all of those resources together to produce the most comprehensive coverage possible. For the NCAA tournament, for instance, we decided that what our readers really cared about was the bracket, so we devoted the section to that subject.

■ Here's a HUGE tip for making the PDF download process easier: Instead of clicking on the link to open the PDF from the browser, simply put your cursor over the link and right click and choose either "Save Target As..." (in Microsoft's Internet Explorer) or "Save Target Link As..." (in Netscape and Mozilla Firefox). What this will do is download the PDF to your harddrive. Once it's on your harddrive, it is much easier and faster to open and print.
