We want to surprise our readers every Sunday. Readers know they'll get March Madness, the Masters, college football – whatever the season. We also want to give them a high-impact, compelling cover story, something worth their buck-fifty.

That could be with a story on the South Carolina promoter who ran into a boxer who refused to take a dive. The boxer wound up helping send the promoter to jail for conspiring to fix fights. Or it could be with a story on a high school athlete who wouldn't give up his fight against cancer because of the support of his classmates.

■ Here's a HUGE tip for making the PDF download process easier: Instead of clicking on the link to open the PDF from the browser, simply put your cursor over the link and right click and choose either "Save Target As..." (in Microsoft's Internet Explorer) or "Save Target Link As..." (in Netscape and Mozilla Firefox). What this will do is download the PDF to your harddrive. Once it's on your harddrive, it is much easier and faster to open and print.
