Jan. 17, 2006 (Tuesday): inside page leading up to NFC Championship. We did a series of fan photos; one as a "normal" person; the other in full fan makeup & regalia. This was our daily "entertainment zone" and we had a lot of fun doing them.

Jan. 23, 2006 (Monday): Pointing out the Seahawks logo that ran across the top of our cover throughout the playoffs, and part of it on A1. The logo looked like it had "flown" through our cover, showing movement, and leaving a color trail. This branded our coverage, and made it special.

Aug. 31, 2006 (Thursday): A preseason poll on what coaches think about various issues.

Dec. 13, 2006 (Wednesday): A pro and con on whether Mark McGwire should be voted into the Hall.

■ Here's a HUGE tip for making the PDF download process easier: Instead of clicking on the link to open the PDF from the browser, simply put your cursor over the link and right click and choose either "Save Target As..." (in Microsoft's Internet Explorer) or "Save Target Link As..." (in Netscape and Mozilla Firefox). What this will do is download the PDF to your harddrive. Once it's on your harddrive, it is much easier and faster to open and print.
