THIRD VICE PRESIDENT ELECTIONS

Meet the candidates

By JERRY MICCO
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

HOW TO VOTE
Please send your votes to Ed Storin, APSE Secretary/Treasurer at:

E-mail: storapse@aol.com

Mail: P.O. Box 7227
Hilton Head, SC 29938

• The deadline for voting is Aug. 16. Any votes cast after that date will not be allowed.
It's time to vote for APSE's Third Vice President. This officer represents all the newspapers in APSE under 40,000 circulation. The winner will begin office on Sept. 1, serve approximately two years, then will step down after the opening Executive Committee meeting at the Las Vegas convention in June 2006.

Only member papers with a circulation of under 40,000 daily are permitted to vote for the Third Vice President. There can be only one vote per member newspaper under 40,000. This generally is cast by the newspaper's sports editor.

We are a bit tardy with this election. The new Third Vice President should have begun serving at the close of the Philadelphia convention last month.

But this will allow our winner nearly the same amount of time, save for a couple of months.

I urge all of you in the Under-40,000 circulation category to cast your votes for one of the three candidates.
