At the closing executive committee meeting in St. Petersburg, a motion was made and seconded to change Article 3, Section 3, Paragraph 1 of the APSE bylaws.

Don Skwar: As the vacation requests from our staffs start piling up, those of us fortunate enough to be blessed with the saviors of our summers – the interns – breathe a sigh of relief. We know that at least some of the headaches of finding replacements will be taken away. But if we stop there, we're short-changing ourselves and, more importantly, the intern.

Bruce Dworshak, who served as the Director of Press Operations for the Salt Lake Organizing Committee, died on Tuesday, April 9, in Los Angeles.

Orville Henry, who spent nearly 60 years covering a University of Arkansas sports program many believe he was partially responsible for building, died on March 16 at his home in Malvern.
