APSE's executive committee will have to approve the site at the winter meetings in Orlando in February. Boston hosted the 1990 convention and it ranked as one of best attended at that time.

Hotel plans are still up to be decided but the goal would be to secure one in downtown Boston within easy walking distance of the night life, which is diverse enough to appeal to both young and old. Public transportation in Boston is excellent and a downtown hotel would most likely be only a short walk to the subway or trolley.

In 1990, APSE members were forced to sit through a rain delay at Fenway Park but got to watch Oakland's Dave Stewart finish off a no-hitter on the scoreboard screen.

We won't know the 2011 schedule until the fall of 2010 but a Red Sox home game would be a big bonus.
